One of my favourite trees here. Like a giant thuja from our school gardens... In fact this is called the Thuja tree. Its a kind of Cedar.

We are trying to grow some food here in a few khets. Need compost which is hard to come by.
So we persuaded the local kuda collection gadi to give us wet waste from hotels to make compost with.
A spot at the entrance of our house was being used as dumping ground by neighbours for years. I would dispose off the waste, only for it to be replaced by fresh waste.
I finally added a few pots in the now clean spot, and presto ! No more garbage has come for a week !
