I wandered into a searing
account of apartheid in south africa on the net.
Ofcourse we have all heard of
apartheid, a policy of south africa (one of the richest countries in Africa), well
into the early 1990s, which kept its white population away from coloureds,
including blacks, and commandeered most of the resources of that nation only
for white people.
But it was for the first time
I read on what it actually looked like on the ground.
Left : Signs on a beach in Muizenberg, Cape Town, South Africa. The sign states: "White persons only. This beach and the amenities thereof have been reserved for white persons only. By order, Provincial Secretary." The bottom sign indicates that dogs are not permitted on the beach. Attribution: Ullischnulli
